The success of Groundlings Theatre is down to it’s dedicated team of staff and volunteers.
Working at Groundlings Theatre is rewarding, challenging and enjoyable. We encourage new staff from different backgrounds with different experiences, skills and stories to join us and influence and develop our working practice.
Our staff get to work in a creative atmosphere with a top team who share the determination to achieve as much as we possibly can.

Volunteer
Our volunteers benefit from seeing a huge variety of shows, working with a great team in a beautiful theatre and receiving a unique opportunity to gain experience that may enhance career paths, boost confidence, introduce a new hobby and maybe even just some new friends.
Whether you’re studying, considering a career change or wanting to do some charity work in later life, we offer a range of ways you can be a part of our team and contribute to the journey of our theatre including:
Front of House: Ensuring a wonderful experience for the audience before, during and after a performance.
Office Administration: A varied role from answering phones and emails to supporting the administration of the Theatre and Drama School.
Technical: Working with our stage manager to develop and manage the stage lighting, sound and set for each of our productions.
Set production and building maintenance: Learn a new skill or put yours to practice with a range of activities across our operation restoring our building.
Marketing: Help boost the presence of the theatre and it’s events by helping to create press releases, leaflets and other marketing content .
Casting
Performing at Groundlings Theatre is a thrilling experience. With a flexible space and atmospheric auditorium, we continue to entertain and delight audiences with our productions.
We produce a mixture of professional and amateur productions throughout the year and all of our professional opportunities are listed on Mandy and across our social media.
Opportunities in non-paid roles are also advertised across our social media.
